SC loses first GOP presidential debate to NH
Looks like SC won’t be holding the first GOP presidential debate afterall. From the AP:
N.H. schedules presidential debates April 4-5
MANCHESTER, N.H. New Hampshire, known for fiercely protecting its first-in-the-nation primary, is hoping to hold the first debates of the 2008 presidential nominating season as well.
The debates, scheduled for April 4th and 5th, will be sponsored by CNN, WMUR-TV and The New Hampshire Union Leader, according to theunionleader.com.
They will be moderated by CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer, with questions provided by WMUR’s Scott Spradling and the Union Leader’s John DiStaso.
One night would be devoted to Democratic candidates, the other to Republicans.
A Democratic debate sponsored by MSNBC has been set for April 26th in South Carolina.
